Removable Appliances

A Removable brace is an appliance made from plastic and wires which clips to the upper or lower teeth and can be taken out of the mouth. Success depends heavily on the patient wearing the appliance.

Removable appliances are often used at the beginning of orthodontic treatment to open deep bites before we switch to fixed appliances. They can also be used for limited movement of the front teeth.
